Varietal: 100% Grenache Noir

Appellation: Paso Robles, CA

Vineyard: AmByth Estate, Mark’s Vineyard. Dry Farmed.

Cert and Farm: Biodynamic. Organic.

Aging Vessel and time: 50% Italian Terracotta Clay Amphorae, 50% Neutral Oak 12 months

Yeast, Sulfites, Additions: Native, None

Alc: 12.3%

Cases Produced: 115

Vinification: Foot stomped whole cluster in open top fermentation bins. Fermented on skins 12 days through primary. Pressed and aged 12 months, half in a 500 Liter Italian Terracotta Amphora and half in a 500 Liter neutral oak barrel . Racked during descending moon and then bottled the following descending moon. In bottle 2 years before release.

Tasting Notes: Sweet, sweet, Grenache (this is fruit I’m talking about, not residual sugar). I think I have a sweet tooth for our Grenache. Mostly Amphora based which certainly doesn’t hurt but I think we are very fortunate. The plants love being where they are, and we love the plants.
