Vinification: Foot stomped whole cluster in open top fermentation bins. Ambyth’s portion of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, and Roussanne stayed on skins for 18 hours before being pressed. Martian Ranch’s Grenache Blanc and Narrow Gate’s Viognier was pressed immediately after the tradition of foot stomping. Combined all after fermentation in single 340 liter Amphora. Aged 10 months. Racked during descending moon and then bottled the following descending moon.

Tasting Notes: The Viognier from narrow gate vineyards in the sierra foothills near sacramento make up the bulk of this regional blend and is exactly what you would think a Viognier would taste, pear apple viscosity but more old world taste with the amphora aging. And just like the priscus has nice structure and more depth than a typical white Viognier because of the skin contact portion of our estate fruit. This one is closer to a true white then orange, more so then the priscus.
